Sunday, 14 November
6.00pm – 7.00pm – Informal welcome by Heledd James, ContinYou Cymru (hotel lobby) ; Dress code: informal/casual
7.00pm+ – Free time
Monday, 15 November
9.30am – Depart hotel
10.00am – 2.00pm – Official welcome and briefing session (includes lunch)
2.00pm – 3.00pm – Individual presentations
3.00pm – 4.00pm – Report writing; Dress code: casual but smart (no jeans)
4.00pm+ – Free time (we will be in the centre of Cardiff and you will be able to visit the city centre, including the shops and Cardiff Castle – www.cardiffcastle.com – if you want to)
Tuesday, 16 November
7.00am – 7.15am – Depart hotel
9.30am – 3.30pm – ContinYou Cymru’s annual conference
Community focused schools – addressing child poverty (Pavilion Conference Centre, Llandrindod Wells – a programme for the day is provided separately)
3.30pm – Depart conference to return to hotel
5.30pm – 6.00pm – Arrive at the hotel; Dress code: casual but smart (no jeans)
6.00pm + – Free time
Wednesday, 17 November
8.00am – Depart hotel
9.00am/9.30am – School visit: Mountain Ash Comprehensive School, Rhondda Cynon Taff. Focus of the visit: secondary school; Local Authority’s vision and strategy; multi-agency working; support for wider needs of children and young people and their families; working with primary schools; school leadership and management
2.00pm – Depart Mountain Ash Comprehensive School
3.00pm – 5.00pm – Visit to St Fagan’s: National History Museum (free entry) – please note that this will depend on the weather and whether there is sufficient interest to attend (bring comfortable shoes for walking)

9.00am/9.30am – School visit: White Rose Primary School, Caerphilly. Focus of the visit: primary school; campus/access to community facilities; multi agency working; school leadership and management
1.00pm – Depart White Rose Primary School
2.00pm – Arrive Blackwood Comprehensive School, Caerphilly. Focus of the visit: secondary school; support for families; community college; pupil support network; school leadership and management
4.00pm – Depart to return to hotel
5.00pm – 5.30pm – Report writing
5.30pm – 7.00pm – Free time
7.00pm – Depart hotel
7.30pm+ – Dinner and official farewell. Dress code: casual but smart (no jeans)
Friday, 19 November
9.30am – Depart hotel
10.00am – 1.00pm – De-brief and report writing session
